California native Langilangi Haupeakui started out playing American football before setting his sights on rugby when he hit college. The San Mateo College alumnus began his professional career with the Sacramento Express in the now defunct PRO league in the USA. He spread his wings a little further in the 2016-17 season, inking a two-year deal with Scottish side Glasgow. That same year, 2016, Haupeakui made his Test debut for the Eagles against Romania, earning three caps for the USA. Haupeakui ultimately returned to the USA just four months into his Warriors contract for personal reasons and has remained close to home since.
