RUGBY OPERATIONS (TEAM) MANAGER
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Rugby Operations (Team) Manager to join the LA Giltinis full time for the upcoming 2021 MLR season with key skillsets in the following disciplines:
– Organisation, Team Operations and Logistics
– Financial Planning and reporting
– Personal Development & Performance of player.
Based out of Santa Monica and reporting to the LA Giltinis Head Coach, the Team Manager will be instrumental in driving the rugby operations of the LA Giltinis and Rugby Union in Los Angeles having exceptional skills in stakeholder management, financial reporting, organisational planning and team logistics.
The role will require an outstanding and proven record in leading and managing elite high performance sporting programs, including the ability to drive and support a strong continuous learning and development environment that is true to the professional team and organisations identity.
The Team Manager will provide leadership, coordination and communications to LA Giltinis players and governing body representatives at MLR, USA Rugby and other community affiliates.
The ability to work closely with high performance and volunteer staff regarding all Rugby operations will be fundamental to the success of the program, leading all organisation components of travel, accommodation and team logistics, as well as scheduling for training times, venues, meetings and match day organization.
The Team Manager will liaise with the Head Coach regarding daily and short term training scheduling, which includes yearly training plans, commercial/community promotional appearances, professional player integration into youth and development programs, both internal and external media enquiries and all matters related to team standards.
Excellent time management skills will be required as Team Manager and there is an expectation to work flexible hours, which will include weekends, throughout the Rugby season.
Adaptability and resilience will be key in this role and having emotional intelligence and self-awareness will serve you well.
As part of the role, the off-season will provide a unique opportunity to lead and execute non-tradition Rugby content, which will include Tens, Sevens, Beach Rugby and touring Rugby programs for various LA Giltinis Rugby initiatives.
