Marc Carter, Performance Analyst

Marc Carter is the well-credentialled performance analyst who will enable the Giltinis to examine and improve with cutting edge training and game data.

He has 14 seasons of experience from key roles at PRO14 club Scarlets (2011-16), the Welsh Rugby Union and, most recently, the Hong Kong Rugby Union.

In a further boost for the Giltinis and MLR, the Welshman will operate a dual role with Rugby Canada’s men’s team during the international window for Tests.

It aligns with the Giltinis’ charter to develop local American and Canadian talent within MLR.

Carter was National Academy Head of Performance Analysis with the WRU between 2016-18 and was involved in five World Under-20 Championships.

“As a performance analyst, you want to be delivering information with a more personal touch not just the generic,” Carter said.

“For me, it’s exciting to be involved in a new club in LA where sport is at the forefront of everything.

“I’m going to really enjoy the Academy at the Giltinis to assist performance and educate on rugby because a lot of Americans start late in the game.”
